Junior League of Dallas Milestones Luncheon Features Insightful Conversation With Good Morning America Anchor Robin Roberts

THE SETTING: The Omni Hotel in Dallas was the setting for an afternoon of fundraising for one of Dallas’ most anticipated annual luncheons. Hundreds of the area’s top business leaders, community advocates, sociables, and philanthropists turned out for the annual Junior League of Dallas Milestones Luncheon featuring Good Morning America Anchor Robin Roberts.
THE VIBE: The luncheon chic-attired crowd began the afternoon with a VIP reception in the Katy Trail Room where guests had the opportunity to meet Robin Roberts and mingle with friends. During the pre-event reception, attendees had the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for one of four luxe items including a Wine Tasting for 10 people at private wine club 55 Seventy. Guests then headed into the ballroom for the program.
As guests took to their seats and began dining on their meals where WFAA Anchor Cynthia Izaguirre served as emcee, keeping the festivities moving at a fun, brisk pace. Patrons were treated to words from event leaders. Next, the organization presented its Sustainer of the Year Award to Kathleen Gibson, which included a touching tribute video showcasing her tireless support for the Junior League. The afternoon was capped off with a conversation between Izaguirre and Roberts who talked about the importance of patience and persistence, which are the theme of her three best-selling books.
THE NON-PROFIT: The event raised funds for the Junior League of Dallas. Since its founding in 1922, it has become one of the largest Junior League chapters in the world. Each year, the organization provides leadership opportunities to 4,000 women between the ages of 25 and 49 and provides approximately 100,000 hours of volunteer service to the North Texas community.
