THE SCENE: The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary of Houston recently successfully hosted its 22nd Anniversary fundraiser, Jardins du Monde, celebrating fashion, philanthropy, and community spirit.

The sold-out event in the River Oaks Country Club Ballroom was led by Event Chair Lesha Elsenbrook, bringing together Houston’s philanthropic community in support of The Salvation Army’s mission to serve those in need.

THE VIBE: The theme, Fashion Blooms: Jardins du Monde (“Gardens of the World”), was brought to life on the runway, showcasing fashion inspired by pre-loved donations from Houston’s most exclusive closets, including renowned designers such as Oscar de la Renta, Valentino, ERDEM, Etro, and Gucci.

Following the luncheon and runway show, the highly anticipated Chic Boutique Showroom opened for a four-day shopping event.

THE NON-PROFIT: More than 480 guests attended the highly anticipated event, which raised over $1,25 million for The Salvation Army Houston Area Command, exceeding all expectations and serving Houston since 1889.

This year’s luncheon honored Gina Saour, a dedicated and longstanding member of the organization. Also involved were Chic Boutique Chair Pamela Sengelmann: Co-Chairs Maggie Austin and Dodi Willingham; Showroom Co-Chairs Mary Camden, Maura Montgomery, and Susan Perdue; and Fashion Chair Jennifer Allison.
