THE SCENE: The Fairmont Dallas Hotel was the setting for one of North Texas’ most successful and impactful annual luncheons. A crowd featuring several hundred community leaders, professionals, sociables, and philanthropists was on hand for the 15th Annual Milestone’s Luncheon. Benefiting the Junior League of Dallas, the event celebrated this landmark event with a series of touching tributes and testimonials that showcased its indelible impact on the Dallas community.

THE VIBE: The professional, cocktail-attired crowd featured patrons donning suits and dresses. In the crowd, one could spot traditional attire that blended seamlessly with cheerful colors and prints. The result was a celebratory environment where everyone felt welcome.

Kicking off the afternoon was a VIP reception in the Gold Room of the Fairmont Dallas. Here, the crowd had the opportunity to mingle with and take a commemorative photo with featured speaker Priya Parker. Guests then mingled in the Fairmont Dallas Ballroom Foyer, where many could be spotted purchasing raffle tickets for a series of luxury items and experiences. The crowd then headed to the Regency Ballroom for lunch and the main program.

Co-anchor of NBC 5 Today, Laura Harris served as emcee, keeping the afternoon’s festivities moving at a fun, yet brisk pace. Once guests took to their seats, an invocation was given by Rev. Dr. Christopher D Girata of St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church.

While attendees enjoyed their lunches, they were treated to words from event and organization leaders thanking them for their support, not just today, but for the past 15 years. A highlight of the program was honoring Mary M. Jalonick with the Sustainer of the Year Award for her long-term and tireless support of the organization.

The afternoon was capped off with a candid and inspiring talk with featured speaker Priya Parker, moderated by Laura Harris. The engaging, informative, yet entertaining conversation tied specifically to the Junior League of Dallas’ mission by highlighting how she guides communities to create gatherings that create trust, clarity, and shared purposes not just in philanthropic environments, but professional ones as well, which allowed guests to leave on an uplifting note.

THE NON-PROFIT: The 15th Annual Milestones Luncheon, co-chaired by Krystle Craycraft and Diana Hamilton, raised funds for the Junior League of Dallas. Proceeds from this year’s event will fund approximately $1 million in grants to the North Texas community each year. The Junior League of Dallas features over 4,000 members who provide more than 100,000 hours in volunteer service to North Texas organizations annually.
