THE SCENE: The Post Oak Hotel in Houston was the setting for one of the city’s most-anticipated winter fundraising events. A vibrant crowd featuring several hundred of the area’s top art patrons, community leaders, sociables, and philanthropists turned out for the 2026 Houston Symphony Ball. Benefiting the eponymous organization, the night featured a Musique et Vin-inspired soiree that seamlessly blended a vibrant mix of sophistication, wine, and music, resulting in a seven-figure fundraising haul for the organization.

THE VIBE: The high-black-tie crowd featured a stunning mix of elegant ensembles. Throughout the room, one could spot a mix of classic black-tie ensembles that blended seamlessly with others who wore bright colors, prints, and tuxedos with tails. The result was a symphony of sartorial choices that made everyone feel welcome and a part of the company.

Kicking off the night was a lively cocktail hour in The Post Oak Hotel ballroom foyer. After guests cozied up to the bar to grab their favorite libation of choice, they mingled with the crowd. Others could be seen perusing and carefully watching the luxe array of silent auction items up for bid, which featured a dazzling array of five-star items and experiences that added a bit of fun, friendly competition for patrons in the crowd.

Revelers then headed into The Post Oak Ballroom for the dinner of the evening. Guests were wowed at how The Events Company transformed the space into a five-star European-inspired masterpiece that mentally whisked partygoers to the other side of the pond. The room featured floor-to-ceiling burgundy drapes that beautifully complemented the lush centerpieces adorning the tables, including peach roses, orange pincushion protea, red dahlias, and yellow orchids, which added an extra layer of grandeur.

Once patrons took to their seats, they were treated to a delectable, multi-course meal courtesy of The Post Oak Hotel Chef Jean-Luc Foyere. The crowd enjoyed every last bite of the European-inspired menu. After dinner concluded, the crowd aimed straight for the dance floor. The party continued well into the night, entertained by the tunes of Q the Band, and capped off a night of fun and fundraising for one of Houston’s most storied annual fundraising galas.

THE NON-PROFIT: The 2026 Houston Symphony Ball, chaired by John and Lindy Rydman, raised over $1 million for the Houston Symphony. Proceeds from the event will fund the organization’s education and community engagement initiatives to provide world-class artistic programming for Houstonians and visitors.
