Erin Busbee

In a world obsessed with youth and trends, Honorary Texan Erin Busbee is a breath of fresh, sophisticated air. She’s not interested in chasing fads. Instead, the founder of Busbee Style is on a mission to help women discover something far more lasting—confidence, clarity, and a signature sense of self through personal style. “You can absolutely feel powerful, sexy, and stylish at any age,” she often says, and her vibrant global community of over 1.5 million followers wholeheartedly agrees.

A veteran content creator, entrepreneur, and on-camera fashion expert, Erin’s journey into the digital spotlight wasn’t exactly planned—it was purpose-driven. After working as a television news reporter and stylist, and later becoming a mother, she realized there was a massive gap in the market. Women over 40 weren’t seeing themselves reflected in fashion content. So, Erin set out to change that. Busbee Style was born not just as a blog, but as a movement—one that champions elegance, ease, and empowerment.

With her signature blend of practical advice and polished glamour, Erin helps women simplify their wardrobes while elevating their overall confidence. Whether it’s through YouTube tutorials, Instagram reels, or blog posts that dive into everything from capsule wardrobes to beauty tips, her message is clear: Looking amazing is less about dressing for others and more about dressing for the life you want to live. “I’m here to take the guesswork out of style,” she says. “Women are juggling so much—why not make this one part of life feel easy and joyful?”

What sets Erin apart isn’t just her knack for knowing which blazer to pair with which jeans—it’s her chic relatability. She speaks candidly about aging, motherhood, and body changes. She champions women’s evolution, rather than their reinvention. And that’s why Busbee Style has become more than a lifestyle brand—it’s a trusted destination for women who are ready to put themselves back on their own priority list.

Erin Busbee

From a small town in New York to influencing millions worldwide, Erin Busbee is redefining modern womanhood, one confident outfit at a time. And for women everywhere who’ve felt overlooked by the fashion industry, she’s the stylish best friend they didn’t know they needed—but now can’t live without. Here, she gets up close and personal with her longtime pal and our perpetual cool chaser Lance Avery Morgan.

The best career advice I’ve received is…

ERIN BUSBEE: Delegate what drains you, so you can focus on what energizes you. The best advice I received was to outsource anything that doesn’t require your magic—that’s the key to building something sustainable and successful.

Three qualities that got me where I am today are…

ERIN BUSBEE: I’m a Seeker. That quality has shaped both my personal and professional evolution. While it has at times led to restlessness, it’s also what’s allowed me to create a life that feels boundaried, peaceful, and deeply aligned.
Authenticity is another. I don’t really know how to not be real. While it’s not always the most strategic route, it’s helped me build a business and a life rooted in truth and heart.
And finally, Integrity. Over the years, I’ve refined my core values, and they’ve become the compass I use to navigate everything—from business decisions to motherhood.

Easiest career decision I ever made is…

ERIN BUSBEE: Saying yes to a national campaign with Ulta Beauty. The visibility was incredible, but it also felt very aligned with who I am and who I’m speaking to—real women, redefining beauty at any age.

Due to my ongoing involvement with fashion and styling, I have found that…

ERIN BUSBEE: It never gets old—and everything eventually comes back around. Just with a new twist.

What is influencing me right now in the world of fashion is…

ERIN BUSBEE: Suiting and neutrals. While I’ve always been a denim devotee, I’m really embracing the return of tailored trousers—especially in soft, neutral tones. I love pairing them with a beautifully draped blazer, a vest, or even something as simple as a tank. It’s effortless, elevated, and endlessly versatile.

How I made my first dollar…

ERIN BUSBEE: I was always scheming up ways to make money—either through a lemonade stand or a makeshift garage sale. Once, I even sold my mom’s antique wooden box without her knowing. She was not happy.

First music I bought was…

ERIN BUSBEE: We belonged to one of those old-school record clubs. Remember those? The first album I remember getting was Purple Rain by Prince. I listened to it so much at time, but seriously couldn’t sit through a single song now!

Whenever I hear a Yacht Rock song, I immediately…

ERIN BUSBEE: Well, I had to Google what “Yacht Rock” is. The first song that popped up is “Sailing” by Christopher Cross. Honestly? Love it. So soothing…

Last thing I binge/marathon watched…

ERIN BUSBEE: I love a range of shows—basically anything by Taylor Sheridan. Landman and Lioness are next-level good. At the same time, I’ve never met a period drama I didn’t love, so Bridgerton and all the PBS dramas are always on my binge-worthy list too.

Book that left a lasting impression on me…

ERIN BUSBEE: The Surrender Experiment by Michael Singer. I used to place effort into everything—setting clear goals and rigid plans. This book taught me to release control and stay open. It set me on a path toward finding comfort in the discomfort… and peace in the unknown.

On that note, my favorite fiction character is…

ERIN BUSBEE: Atticus Finch from To Kill a Mockingbird. His quiet strength and unwavering moral compass have always stayed with me. He stood up for someone who couldn’t defend himself—despite public opinion, racial tension, and deep personal risk. He chose truth over comfort, and justice over popularity. That kind of integrity is rare—and deeply inspiring.

My real-life hero has got to be…

ERIN BUSBEE: My husband. He has a zest for life that’s unmatched. He squeezes every last drop out of every experience—always dreaming bigger, pushing limits, and believing anything is possible. That drive is incredibly inspiring to watch. I’m much more comfortable with rest and stillness, and I think in that way, we balance each other out beautifully.

If I lived in a foreign city it would be…

Zermatt, Switzerland. Courtesy of Wikipedia

ERIN BUSBEE: Zermatt, Switzerland. Technically, it’s a village, but it’s an absolute dream destination. The views are unimaginably stunning, and it has this elevated, almost otherworldly beauty. There are no cars allowed, which adds to its charm. It’s a very outdoorsy place—and I think my inner Heidi would be more than happy to live there for a while.

What everyone should try in their lifetime is…

ERIN BUSBEE: Running a marathon. Not just for the physical challenge, but for the mental transformation. You truly learn that you can do hard things—and that mindset shift stays with you.

If I could compete in an Olympic sport, or create one, it would be…

ERIN BUSBEE: Getting out the door while still looking stylish and pulled together—in the shortest amount of time possible. Bonus points for pulling it off in under five minutes!

If I weren’t doing what I do I would be a…

Erin Busbee

ERIN BUSBEE: A therapist—but probably not in the traditional sense. I’d be drawn to alternative modalities like EMDR or hypnosis. I love helping people feel seen and empowered, and I’ve always been curious about people’s inner worlds. That curiosity led me to journalism early in my career.

A celebrity I would prank phone call, and what I would ask them is…

ERIN BUSBEE: I’m old enough to remember rotary phones and the golden age of prank calls—back when there was no caller ID and you could actually get away with it. These days? You’d get caught in seconds. So, no prank calls for me… I prefer to keep my number unblocked.

My hidden talent that most people might not guess is…

ERIN BUSBEE: Okay, maybe not that hidden… but I have a PhD in packing a carry-on. I can fit two weeks of stylish, enviable outfits—accessories and backup shoes included—into just a carry-on and tote.

If I had a superpower, I’d want it to be…

ERIN BUSBEE: I actually just had this conversation with my 13-year-old daughter, and she had the best answer—teleportation. It’s even better than flying because you could be anywhere in seconds. Imagine traveling the world, skipping security lines, and saving all that precious time… and still making it to Pilates class on time.

A simple way to get people to laugh is easy. Just…

ERIN BUSBEE: Be willing to laugh at yourself. I’ve found that sharing the self-deprecating, not-so-glamorous behind-the-scenes life moments works pretty much every time.

A phrase I might overuse would be…

ERIN BUSBEE: Can you call my phone?” I say that so often, it might as well be my ringtone.

My motto? Easy. It is…

ERIN BUSBEE: Feel good, do good, look good—in that order.

Favorite scent these days is (because)…

ERIN BUSBEE: Do Son by Diptyque. I discovered it recently during an unforgettable family trip to the Seychelles—Qatar Airways included the fragrance in their amenity kits, and now it instantly transports me back to that dreamy vacation (and epic flight) every time I wear it.

My style icon is…

ERIN BUSBEE: I don’t have one specific style icon. I love to glean inspiration from so many different women—of all ages—and from the places I travel. Style, for me, is about taking inspiration, finding pieces and combinations that make you feel the most confident, and making them your own.

My personal style signifier is…

ERIN BUSBEE: Elegance with an edge. I’m drawn to classic, tailored pieces—but I love adding a modern twist to keep things interesting.

The classic designer I wish was still designing today would be…

ERIN BUSBEE: Christian Dior. I recently attended a Dior fashion show in Paris, enjoyed a private tour of the museum, and even stayed overnight at 30 Montaigne—the iconic flagship store. I felt such a strong connection to the man behind the brand—his passion for design, clarity of vision, and his dedication to empowering women through style.

The last meal that truly impressed me was…

Erin Busbee

ERIN BUSBEE: My Texas-born husband jokes that one of the reasons he fell in love with me was my love of a great steak. I’ll take an amazing filet any day!

In my fridge, you will always find…

ERIN BUSBEE: Teeth whitening gel and hormones. Of course, there’s plenty of organic produce too—but let’s be real, those first two are far more interesting.

My perfect day would end…

ERIN BUSBEE: Sitting on my deck on a warm summer evening, enjoying a beautiful sunset with an alpine glow. The mountains move me—they always leave me feeling awestruck.

The title of my autobiography will likely be…

ERIN BUSBEE: Finding My Way, In Style.
