THE SETTING: Klyde Warren Park’s annual fundraiser, Party in the Park, was recently held on a gorgeous evening. The event celebrated everything about Klyde Warren Park, including the way it has transformed Dallas. Located in the heart of Big D, connecting downtown to uptown, the Park offers an exceptional 360-degree view of the Dallas skyline. The city’s most involved philanthropists, corporate leaders, and public officials came together to raise almost $1 million for the Park’s programming and maintenance.
THE VIBE: This year’s celebration included Hall wine at every table, stunning décor by Todd Events, and dancing to Grammy-nominated musicians, Q The Band, fresh from performances with Ed Sheeran, Luke Combs, and Ashley McBride. Managed by the Woodall Rodgers Park Foundation, the 5.2-acre park relies on contributions from donors to support maintenance, free programs, and educational activities for more than one million visitors each year. Fundraising events such as Party in the Park are critical to the nonprofit’s ability to serve the public daily.
THE NON-PROFIT: Honorary chairs for the fundraiser were Myrna and Bob Schlegel. Their generous family members Krystal and Luke Davis, Kari and Troy Kloewer, Kirby Schlegel, and Kimberly and Justin Whitman served as event chairs. Klyde Warren Park is a 5.2-acre deck park bridging uptown Dallas to downtown Dallas. The Park is privately funded and operated by the Woodall Rodgers Park Foundation to connect the community and enrich lives through free, active programming and educational opportunities in a pristine, safe, centrally located, entertainment-rich green space where everyone is welcome. Corporate partnerships, individual donations, and grants ensure that this mission will continue into the future.
