THE SETTING: Held at the Brook Hollow Golf Club in Dallas, this year’s event for the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club President’s Dinner Dallas had attendees who helped to raise just over $300,000 to fund essential after school programs for more than 11,000 young people at ten locations throughout the Bronx. The event was chaired by Dallas-based designers Jan Showers, Shelby Wagner, and Claire Emanuelson. The event was also vice-chaired by acclaimed designers Tucker Enthoven, Laura Lee Clark, Chad Dorsey, Jean Liu, Kelli Ford, Nancy Rogers, and Doniphan Moore. The gathering featured cocktails and a seated dinner, and also included special musical performances by members of the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club.
THE VIBE: The nation’s design industry elite supported the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club’s annual President’s Dinner to honor Holly Moore, a long-time supporter of the cause. The evening benefited the Crystal Charity Ball, Dwell with Dignity and the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club, along with supporting the opening of the 2023 Kips Bay Decorator Show House Dallas.
THE NON-PROFIT: The Kips Bay President’s Dinner raises money to provide support for young people between the ages of 6 and 18 at ten locations throughout the Bronx with essential after school and enrichment programs aimed to help them recognize their potential for growth and success. Today, the club is proudly one of the most prominent and responsive youth development agencies in New York City and a “flagship” of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Since the organization was established over 100 years ago, they have grown into a recognized leader among the 4,500 Boys & Girls Clubs nationally.
