THE SCENE: Over the course of a beautiful weekend in Houston, several hundred of Space City’s most notable art patrons, community leaders, sociables, and philanthropists descended on Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens in River Oaks for a series of events celebrating art and fashion. The crowd was on hand for Bayou Bend Weekend, benefiting the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, which delivered an unforgettable al fresco weekend of events for dazzled guests.

THE VIBE: Each event was a cocktail-attired affair, with guests showing up in their finest Spring ensembles. In the crowd at each Bayou Bend event, one could spot an array of pastels, prints, and bold-colored sport coats and cocktail dresses, which enhanced the cheerful, vibrant energy of all the guests on hand for this special weekend.

Kicking off the festivities was the 9th Annual Bayou Bend Fashion Show & Luncheon. Here, 200 guests arrived and sipped their favorite spirits al fresco, many opting for a glass of champagne to toast a successful weekend of festivities, and mingled in the crowd, brimming with anticipation for the afternoon…and the weekend ahead.

Once guests took to their seats underneath a stunning open-air tent. Jaws dropped as guests were treated to an elegant garden palette complete with white and pink table linens that perfectly complemented the purple matthiola and fuchsia roses courtesy of The Events Company.

As the crowd dined on a delectable meal catered by City Kitchen Catering, they were treated to words from event and organization leaders thanking them for taking part in a special afternoon. A “Best of Saks” Fashion Show, courtesy of Saks Fifth Avenue, capped off the afternoon. Guests were in awe as nearly four dozen looks graced the runway, with some taking in the beauty and others pulling out their phones to capture ensembles that truly inspired them.

Concluding the festivities on Sunday night was the annual Bayou Bend Garden Party. The crowd, featuring 300 of Museum of Fine Arts Houston’s most dedicated supporters and patrons, kicked off the night at the historic home of Ima Hogg for an elegant twilight cocktail reception.

The crowd then strolled the grounds to a lush garden tent on the Bayou Bend grounds, where The Events Company continued the pink and white theme of Friday with a twist. The tables were adorned with a stunning array of peonies, and greenery cascaded from the chandeliers, adding an extra sense of grandeur to the evening.

City Kitchen Catering served up a delectable, southern-inspired multi-course meal that wowed guests. During the program, Jeanie Kilroy Wilson was honored for her longtime support of the organization, which includes the Bayou Bend Kilroy Visitor and Education Center, which is named in her honor. The dinner capped off a spectacular weekend of fun and fundraising al fresco for one of Houston’s most beloved artistic organizations.

THE NON-PROFIT: The 2026 Bayou Bend Fashion Show & Luncheon was hosted by Suzanne Pritchard, while Ann Duncan served as chair of the 2026 Bayou Bend Garden Party. Combined, the events raised over $1 million for the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. Proceeds raised from the event will go towards the Bayou Bend annual operating budget, which has served as a public space for Houstonians to enjoy for the past 60 years.
