How One Houstonian’s Journey Through Lupus Sparked A Mission Of Awareness, Hope, And Healing… Alongside Her Legendary Husband, Lee Majors

When Faith Majors enters a room, you notice two things instantly: her warmth and her light. There’s an effortless elegance about her… Texas charm wrapped in quiet strength. Married to TV icon Lee Majors, the beloved star of The Six Million Dollar Man and The Fall Guy, Faith is no stranger to the spotlight. But these days, it’s not Hollywood glitz that commands her focus, it’s hope. Specifically, hope for millions living with lupus, an autoimmune disease that remains as complex as it is misunderstood.

Faith Majors has turned her own health challenge into a heartfelt crusade for awareness, compassion, and progress through her work with the Lupus Research Alliance. And like any great Houstonian, she’s doing it with heart, humor, and tenacity, as our philanthropic chronicler Lance Avery Morgan learned when he caught up with her.

When Strength Meets Purpose

“I became involved with the Lupus Research Alliance to help people better understand this elusive and often invisible disease,” Faith explains. “Having experienced lupus firsthand, I felt called to share my story in hopes of raising awareness and inspiring others to support research.”

Her diagnosis in December 2019 marked a turning point. What began as confusion and countless doctor visits evolved into clarity and conviction. “It can take five to seven years to receive an autoimmune diagnosis,” she says. “That means so many people suffer in silence. That realization pushed me to become my own advocate, and to help drive research and awareness so others wouldn’t have to face the same uncertainty I did.”

The Science Of Hope

Faith’s optimism is contagious and grounded in real progress. The recent FDA approval of Gazyva (Obinutuzumab) for lupus nephritis, a severe kidney complication of lupus, fills her with renewed hope.

“Every new advancement represents more than just a treatment; it represents hope,” she says. “Hope for better quality of life, for fewer flares, for more normal days. That’s what every lupus patient longs for.”

Faith Majors’ commitment extends beyond funding research; it’s about creating community. “Sometimes, the most powerful thing you can offer someone is the reassurance that they’re not alone,” she says. “Even one conversation or shared story can change a life.”

Love, Legacy & Lee

Faith and Lee Majors

Faith’s philanthropic spirit is closely intertwined with her marriage to Lee Majors, a partnership that has weathered life’s highs and lows with grace and gratitude.

“Lee has always believed in using influence to make a positive difference,” Faith says. “Seeing how our platforms can bring attention to causes close to our hearts has reinforced my own commitment to giving back and helping others find strength through shared stories.”

Together, they’ve mastered the art of celebrating life’s wins, large and small. “We celebrate with gratitude,” Faith says. “We often take time to pause, reflect, and thank God for everything He’s done and continues to do. Gratitude keeps us centered and reminds us how far we’ve come.”

Surfing Toward Serenity

When she’s not championing lupus research, Faith embraces life with adventurous enthusiasm. “I love traveling, writing, and exploring new cultures,” she says. “Discovery keeps me inspired and grounded.”

In 2021, she took that sense of discovery to a new level, literally, when she learned to surf. “It was part of my healing journey,” she says with a smile. “Surfing taught me patience, balance, and the beauty of starting fresh, no matter where you are in life.”

A Heart For Connection

For Faith, philanthropy isn’t about grand gestures; it’s about quiet impact. “It’s often the personal moments that mean the most,” she says. “When someone tells me they felt seen or understood because of something I shared… that’s what keeps me going.”

She’s a firm believer that kindness multiplies. “Even small acts of compassion can create a lasting ripple effect,” she says.

Words To Live By

Faith’s mantra is simple, yet profound: “Never give up.” It’s a phrase she’s leaned on through every flare, every challenge, and every triumph. “Especially on difficult days during a lupus flare or when I’m feeling exhausted, I remind myself that tough moments don’t last forever. Hope and perseverance are my anchors.”

If Faith Could Host A Dream Dinner…

Her guest list? A powerhouse of purpose and inspiration. “I’d invite Oprah Winfrey for her leadership and philanthropy, Martha Stewart for her reinvention and entrepreneurial spirit, Dolly Parton for her generosity and authenticity, and Dr. Alessandra Pernis for her groundbreaking lupus research,” she says. “And of course, Sara Blakely, for her energy and determination. I’m drawn to women who’ve overcome obstacles to create meaningful impact. It’s never too late to chase your purpose.”

Faith in Motion

Faith Majors embodies that truth… living proof that purpose can grow from pain, and that grace often hides its strength in the face of adversity.

With her heart firmly rooted in Houston and her mission extending far beyond, she continues to use her voice, her story, and her light to help others find theirs.

And when she says, “never give up,” believe her.
