THE VIBE: The cocktail-attired crowd featured an elegant mix of ensembles. In the crowd, one could spot cocktail dresses and suits in a variety of colors. Additionally, many patrons were donning high-end, sustainable looks as a nod to the upcoming fashion show later that evening.

Guests kicked off the night with a vibrant cocktail hour in the Junior League of Austin ballroom foyer. The attendees sipped their favorite spirits, took advantage of experiential activations such as a 360 photo booth, purchased Golden Tickets, and perused an impressive selection of silent auction items curated from ShopGoodwill.com.

The action then moved to the Junior League of Austin Ballroom for the main program. Two-time Emmy Award-winning anchor Allison Miller, of CBS Austin This Morning, served as emcee, keeping the evening’s festivities moving at a fun, yet brisk pace. Kicking off the program was the Good Looks sustainable fashion show. This innovative fashion show highlights pieces sourced from Goodwill stores and outlets where fabrics can be sold by the pound. The result is new, elevated creations that wowed the crowd.

As patrons dined on their delectable, multi-course meals, they were treated to words from event and organization leaders thanking them for being a part of such a memorable evening. During the program, Margaret Moten was honored with the annual Henna Award for Good for her tireless leadership and service to Goodwill Central Texas.

Capping off the night was a lively and spirited paddles up. UFCU kicked off the raise with a generous gift, and many patrons followed suit, demonstrating a spirit of generosity and giving. The result was $178,000 for The Bridge Fund, which ensures stability and peace of mind when Goodwill students and program participants face unexpected expenses.

THE NON-PROFIT: “A Good Night For Goodwill” raised over $385,000 for Goodwill Central Texas. Proceeds from the event will go towards providing services to those in Central Texas who need assistance securing basic necessities that allow students and clients to remain in school, complete training programs, and secure jobs.
