THE SCENE: The 7th Annual Dirk Nowitzki Foundation Tennis Classic took place at Banner House at T Bar M in Dallas, welcoming more than 1,000 attendees for a day filled with spirited tennis, celebrity appearances, and unforgettable celebrations. What began as a friendly exhibition has grown into one of Dallas’s premier philanthropic events, raising vital funds to support programs that impact children’s health, education, and well-being.

THE VIBE: The day began with a warm-up and breakfast session, giving guests an early glimpse of the players as they prepared for the matches ahead. Banner House pros joined Dirk Nowitzki and his roster of celebrity friends on the courts, setting a lighthearted yet competitive tone for the day. Attendees mingled over gourmet coffee, fresh pastries, and other morning bites, creating an atmosphere of anticipation and camaraderie before the official tournament began.

Before the first serve, guests enjoyed the Tennis Classic Sponsorship Pre-Party, complete with delicious snacks and a lively social atmosphere. At 12 PM, the main event began as players took to the court for exhibition-style matches.

The lineup was star-studded: former Mavericks guard and analyst Devin Harris, former NBA All-Star Joakim Noah, former world Top-10 tennis player CoCo Vandeweghe, actor Boris Kodjoe, and Coby Cotton, a founding member of Dude Perfect, all brought energy, humor, and high-level play to the matches. Dirk Nowitzki himself joined in on the action, delighting fans with his signature charm and competitive spirit.

The tournament offered something for everyone. Competitive rallies kept tennis enthusiasts engaged, while playful exchanges and on-court banter entertained casual fans and families. Around the complex, guests enjoyed premium beverages, gourmet bites, and interactive activations from sponsors and partners, creating a festival-like atmosphere.

As the sun set, the energy transitioned indoors for the VIP After Party at Banner House. This exclusive celebration welcomed 500 lucky guests, who enjoyed curated culinary offerings, specialty cocktails, and a relaxed atmosphere after a full day of tennis. The evening provided sponsors and supporters the chance to connect, network, and reflect on their shared impact in advancing the foundation’s mission. Highlights included live entertainment, interactive activations, and special appearances by Jessica Nowitzki and her husband, Dirk Nowitzki, alongside their celebrity pals. Guests enjoyed music, cocktails, and dancing, creating an atmosphere that balanced elegance with a touch of fun.

THE NONPROFIT: Since its inception, the Dirk Nowitzki Foundation Tennis Classic has stood for more than just tennis; it embodies a deeper meaning. It has served as a symbol of community, philanthropy, and the power of bringing people together for a greater purpose. The 2025 event once again demonstrated how one individual’s passion for giving back can inspire thousands to rally around a shared mission.

Through ticket sales, sponsorships, donations, and enthusiastic participation, this year’s event raised more than $1 million. These funds will directly benefit programs that uplift children and families in need, ensuring the foundation’s positive impact continues to grow.

The 7th Annual Dirk Nowitzki Foundation Tennis Classic was not only a celebration of sport and philanthropy but also a reminder of the lasting legacy Dirk continues to build. From the morning warm-up to the final song at The Celebration, the day captured the heart of Dallas: generous, united, and committed to making a difference.
