Several Hundred Guests Revel & Celebrate A Milestone For A Beloved Annual Event

THE SCENE: Recently, the Bullock Museum featured a night of fun and fundraising to celebrate one of Central Texas’ longest-running, beloved, and successful events. Over 350 of the area’s most notable community leaders, children’s advocates, and philanthropists were on hand to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Bandana Ball. Benefiting the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas, the night featured fun activations and emotional tributes that resulted in a fantastic event.

THE VIBE: The denim and diamond chic crowd featured a mix of favorite denim ensembles, cowboy hats, and prints that created a warm, welcoming environment for all who attended. The festivities started on the pavilion in front of the Bullock Museum for a lively cocktail hour. Guests had the opportunity to sip on their favorite spirits, pose for images with the University of Texas Longhorn mascot Bevo, and to have their names embroidered on bandanas to serve as a keepsake for a special night.
The action then moved inside the Bullock Museum for the main program. Partygoers dined on a delectable, multi-course meal underneath the majestic, soaring atrium as they were treated to words from event and organization leaders. Kim Barnes served as emcee keeping the festivities flowing at a fun, brisk pace throughout the night.
One of the most moving parts of the night was a touching testimonial featuring a family with multiple children requiring frequent medical attention and how the Ronald McDonald House has given the love and support they need during hospital stays. The night was capped off with a spirited live auction helmed by Heath Hale of Cowboy Auctioneer, where revelers bid on luxury experiences with a 7-night trip for 6 to Croatia and a private event at the Still Austin Tasting Room with a concert by Texas music legend Ray Benson of Asleep at the Wheel as the most popular.
THE NON-PROFIT: The 35th Annual Bandana Ball, chaired by Susan Lubin, raised over $620,000 for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas. Proceeds raised from the event will go towards providing families with sick children to provide them with the care and resources they need during a challenging time.
