THE SCENE: ACL Live at the Moody Theater featured one of Austin’s top fall fundraising events. During the evening, 2,000 community leaders, music lovers, sports enthusiasts, sociables, and philanthropists turned out for the 12th annual Andy Roddick Foundation Gala. The night featured touching tributes, showstopping performances, and an impressive seven-figure haul for the organization.

THE VIBE: The cocktail-chic crowd featured patrons donning festive and fun attire featuring everything from bright colors to neutrals to bold prints which created a fun, welcoming environment for all. The night began in the new VIP lounge on the Moody Theater terrace. Here revelers were able to sip on their favorite spirits, mingle with other revelers, and pose for images with event host Andy Roddick.

The action then moved to the floor-level Moody Theater, where approximately 450 patrons gathered for the main program. As guests dined on delectable, multi-course meals, they were treated to words from event and organization leaders, including Andy Roddick himself. Next, Heath Hale of Cowboy Auctioneer helmed a spirited live auction and fund-a-need, where guests bid on bespoke experiences and luxury packages.

During the live auction, an additional 1,500 guests filed into the Moody Theater mezzanine and balcony levels in anticipation of a very special musical performance, a performance by diamond-selling artist, rapper, songwriter, record producer, actor, and philanthropist Big Boi. The exuberance and energy of the crowd was on full display as the charismatic performer had the crowd on their feet for the entire set as they sang along to his many hit tunes, capping off an unforgettable night of fun, music, sport, and philanthropy.

THE NON-PROFIT: The 12th annual Andy Roddick Foundation gala, co-chaired by Amer Delic and Anna Dukes-Delic, raised over $1.36 million for the foundation. Proceeds from the event will go towards creating innovative programs to bring real opportunities to kids and families when school is out, based on three pillars of action: create, equip, and impact. Since the event’s founding in 2012, over $12.5 million has been raised to support ARF’s after-school and summer learning programs.
