THE SCENE: The Windy Knoll Barn in Round Top was the recent setting of the inaugural Round Top International Film Festival Gala. The event drew 225 of the state’s most notable film lovers, sociables, and philanthropists from Austin, Dallas, Houston, Round Top, and many other points across Texas. The result was a sensational night that will only heighten the anticipation of the upcoming Round Top International Film Festival, one of the most anticipated new festivals to hit Texas in years.
THE VIBE: The “Round Top Chic” attire featured a mix of denim, diamonds, cowboy hats, boots, and other elevated Texas attire spotted in the crowd gathered throughout the space. Guests knew they were in for a very special evening as they drove up and entered the stunning barn where a step and repeat awaited attendees who posed for images on the red carpet with several making use of the film marker prop to kick off the evening. Partygoers then headed inside the event space for a cocktail hour where guests marveled at the beauty of the barn, sipped on beverages where patrons got to know other film lovers, and perused a curated live auction full of luxury items.
Revelers then took to their seats for the main program. Produced by JHL Company, the program featured words from the event’s leaders as guests dined on a delectable multi-course meal courtesy of Lulu’s and individual pies courtesy of Royer’s Cafe for dessert. Next, came a spirited live auction helmed by George Lindsey, radio host on Houston’s 100.3 The Bull, where excited patrons bid on an array of luxury experiences. The night was capped off with an intimate concert by Texas music legend Jack Ingram who dazzled the crowd as they sang along to his well-known tunes.
