THE SCENE: The Sheraton Dallas was the setting for Texas’ own version to the Met Gala. Over 1,200 of the state’s most notable community leaders, sociables, fashion lovers, and philanthropists turned out for the 32nd annual House of DIFFA. This year’s theme, Royalty Untamed, included incredible fashion and moving tributes for a worthy cause.

THE VIBE: The avant-garde chic crowd brought an amazing array of fashions that had to be seen to be believed. Classic black-tie ensembles mixed with avant-garde gowns and custom suits created a festive environment for all who attended. Partygoers began the night by posing for images on the vibrant red and black step and repeat, then gathered into the ballroom foyer for the cocktail hour.

During the cocktail reception guests perused DIFFA’s legendary silent auction that included over 80 customized jackets from a range of high-profile designers including Jessica Jesse, Cathey Miller, Travis Austin, Balmain Paris, and Daniela Pasqualini. The doors then opened to the ballroom and people filed into the ballroom for the main program. During the program guests were treated to words from event leaders showcasing how DIFFA has positively impacted the lives of so many throughout Texas. Guests also participated in a spirited live auction that raised a record amount of funds for luxe packages. The night’s main event was an epic fashion show where hundreds of models strutted down the runway in stunning couture looks that wowed the crowd. The event was capped off with an after party where the fun continued into the wee hours of the morning.
