It was the Cadillac of hats and these days, it still is. When I made a cameo appearance in the filming of The Iron Orchard about 1939-1949 Texas, what did we wear? Yep, a Stetson. That was a blast, and it was an exciting experience to be in a period film about the Lone Star State.
My dad had a Stetson hat and sported it well, as seen in this photo from the 1950s. In fact, he had several Stetsons that I inherited when he passed away and they remain a treasure.
