THE SCENE: Q2 Stadium in Austin was alive with excitement for an incredible night of fun and fundraising. Over 400 of the area’s most notable community leaders, sports enthusiasts, athletes, sociables, and philanthropists turned out for the 5th annual “A Night in Verde” Gala. Benefiting the 4ATX Foundation, the night was packed with high energy, touching testimonials, and a seven-figure night for one of Austin’s must-attend fall events.

THE VIBE: The innovative theme, Floral Formal, allowed patrons to don cocktail and black-tie attire in fun and unique ways. In the crowd, one could spot cocktail dresses, ballgowns, suits, and tuxedos in an elegant mix of vibrant prints and bold colors, many sporting green as a nod to the “A Night in Verde” name.

The festivities kicked off with a VIP Party where guests mingled with Austin FC players and coaches. During the VIP party, many could be spotted gathering outside on the field to take selfies and group photos to commemorate the special evening.

The action then moved to the Stonegate section of Q2 Stadium for a lively cocktail hour. Guests sipped their favorite spirits while perusing an impressive selection of silent auction items and previewing the live auction items up for bid that evening. There were also several fun activations, with a photo booth that used AI to cover patrons in vibrant-colored flowers, which was the most popular.

The action then moved to the Lexus Club for the main programs. The space was transformed into an elegant dinner party for 400. Around the room were a mix of rustic, continental, and round tables, each with white tablecloths complemented by elegant green-and-white floral centerpieces. The green lighting in the perimeter of the room perfectly complemented the elegant, fun space for guests.

Once patrons took to their seats, they were treated to a delectable, multi-course meal. As revelers dined, they were treated to words from organization and event leaders thanking them for being part of such a memorable evening.

The program also honored individuals, organizations, and Austin FC Players who have positively impacted the 4ATX Foundation and the soccer community in Austin. Those honored included Austin FC Forward Diego Rubio and Verde Leaders student Alexa Arenas Mejia, each of whom was awarded the 4ATX Foundation’s Legends of the Year Award presented by Coca-Cola.

Next came a spirited live auction and fund-a-need helmed by auctioneer Robbie Gordy. The paddles and fundraising climbed to record heights as they bid on an array of luxury experiences, including a Big Sky Montana Getaway, an Oceanside Oasis in Mexico, and a chance to fly with Austin FC to an upcoming road game, which emerged as the most popular with the crowd.

The night concluded with a lively after-party where the fun continued well into the night. Upon leaving, revelers were given lush, green plants to take home and plant as a reminder of the fantastic, unforgettable night.

THE NON-PROFIT: The 5th annual A Night in Verde Gala raised over $1.1 million for the 4ATX Foundation. Proceeds from the event will support programs that advance the organization’s mission to use the power of soccer to help communities thrive socially, emotionally, and physically.
