THE SCENE: The Frontiers of Flight Museum in Dallas, the recent setting of a regal, elegant night for a very worthy cause. Over 500 of North Texas’ most notable animal lovers, advocates, sociables, and philanthropists turned out for Fur Ball 2025. Benefiting the SPCA of Texas, the Lights, Camera, Adopt! theme for the evening delivered old-school Hollywood glam with a modern twist, resulting in a highly successful night for the organization.

THE VIBE: The cocktail-attired crowd brought glamor and elegance in a range of dazzling looks. In the crowd, one could spot bold colors, prints, and metallics, as well as an array of ballgowns, cocktail dresses, open-collar suits, and dinner jackets. The result was a warm and welcoming environment for all attendees.

The night began in style as patrons walked up to the step-and-repeat area to take photos commemorating the evening. Guests were then escorted to one of two designated cuddle zones, where they could view and hold furry friends available for adoption. The action then continued with a lively cocktail hour. As guests sipped their favorite spirits, they mingled with the crowd. Many could be seen perusing the impressive lot of silent auction items featuring luxury items, such as a Texas Rangers Experience and a Dolce & Gabbana® Sicily Bag.

Revelers then gathered in the ballroom, where a playful paparazzi placed guests in the spotlight at the ballroom entrance before heading to their seats for the main program. Event producer Steve Kemble transformed the space into a red-carpet premiere-like atmosphere through an elegant palette of blacks, whites, and golds, with petite lamps on the tables giving the space a special glow.

As guests enjoyed their dinner, emcee Bryan Curtis of NBC 5 DFW kept the festivities flowing at a fun, brisk pace throughout the night. During dinner, patrons were treated to words of appreciation from organization and event leaders, who thanked them for their patronage and support of such a memorable evening. The highlights of the program included CEO Brian Luna unveiling the organization’s newest endeavor, Care Unleashed, a $31 million capital campaign to add 39,000 square feet to the SPCA of Texas campus.

The fun continued with a spirited live auction led by auctioneer Grant Snyder. The bidding was at a fever pitch, and several items sold multiple times. A paddle raise followed, which included a $200,000 match by Kathy and Jim Hooper. The night was capped off with a star-studded after-party, where partygoers danced the night away to the tunes of the Manhattan Band.
THE NON-PROFIT: Fur Ball 2025, chaired by Kristin and James Hallam, raised over $820,000 for SPCA of Texas. Proceeds raised from the event will support programs that further the organization’s newly updated mission to create a brighter future for animals, people, and the North Texas community.
