THE SCENE: Fort Worth’s River Crest Country Club was the setting for an afternoon of fun and fundraising that kicked off Cowtown’s Fall Social Season into high gear. Nearly 400 of the city’s most notable community leaders, sociables, and philanthropists turned out for the Fifth Annual Desert Rose Luncheon benefiting The National Cowgirl Museum & Hall of Fame.

THE VIBE: The Rodeo Midway theme was gorgeously represented with attendees donning an elegant mix of bright colors and bold prints. In the crowd, one could spot plenty of reds, pinks, yellows, and metallic sequins. Many chose to accompany their looks with cowboy hats. The result was a warm and festive environment for all attendees.

The afternoon began as guests shopped at the pop-up marketplace, where they could purchase an array of luxury items from esteemed brands, including Bunny Bradley Designs, Lindsey Leigh Jewelry, and Lucchese Bootmaker.

Guests sipped champagne while perusing the impressive ensembles on hand, with many making purchases of various must-have items. Attendees then gathered in the ballroom to mingle more before taking their seats for the main program and fashion show.

As they dined on their delectable meals, they were greeted by event and organization leaders who thanked them for being a part of such a memorable afternoon. Next came a stunning fashion show where patrons were dazzled by a beautiful array of Western-inspired looks that strutted down the runway. The afternoon was capped off by Chappel Roan’s iconic song, Pony Pink Club, which left guests wanting more and already eager to attend next year’s event.

THE NON-PROFIT: The Fifth Annual Desert Rose Luncheon, co-chaired by Lorene Agather and Sainty Nelsen, raised over $400,000 for The National Cowgirl Museum & Hall of Fame. Proceeds raised from the events will support operational expenses and programs that further the museum’s mission of honoring and celebrating the legacy of women who shaped the American West.
