THE SCENE: Austin’s Camp Mabry was the setting for one of the Capital City’s most anticipated and successful Spring fundraising events. Over 700 of the area’s top community leaders, medical professionals, sociables, and philanthropists turned out for the Boots & Bling Gala. Benefiting the Elizabeth Ann Seton Board, the event was held al fresco on a picture-perfect Texas night, resulting in a seven-figure fundraising accomplishment for the organization.

THE VIBE: The crowd wholeheartedly embraced the Western-chic attired theme. In the crowd, one could spot an array of cowboy hats, boots, and other Western accents seamlessly mixed in with others donning their favorite spring colors. The result was a festive and welcoming environment for all who attended.

The festivities began with a lively cocktail hour. Guests sipped their favorite spirits while taking the opportunity to commemorate the evening with a photo next to the giant boot as a keepsake for the event.
Guests then sat underneath an open-air tent for the main program. As guests dined on their delectable meals, they were treated to words from the organization and event leaders thanking them for being a part of the evening. The program also featured touching testimonials showcasing how Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin has provided critical services to families with newborns.

Next, Carrie Fruge took to the stage to helm a spirited live auction and fund-a-need. Paddles went up for an array of bespoke luxury experiences, with a Four Seasons Getaway in Maui and a Punta Mita Luxury Retreat emerging as the most popular for guests. The evening was capped off with a dazzling after-party. Guests sampled some sweet and savory bites, enjoyed their favorite cocktail, and danced the night away courtesy of The Gone To Texas Band.

THE NON-PROFIT: The 2025 Boots & Bing Gala was led by event co-chairs Caroline Goehring and Vanessa McElwrath and EASB President Natalie Kopp. The event raised over $1.06 million for Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin. Proceeds will fund the mother/baby services, including programs, building, and equipment needs at the Marialice Shivers and Dell Children’s Neonatal Intensive Care Units. Over 11,000 babies have stayed at Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin NICU, where families receive world-class care, technology, and open arms.
