This August, 6Whiskey, Bryan’s rising star in Western fashion retail, is officially welcoming Tecovas into the fold. Known for its sharp selection of heritage-inspired clothing, boots, and accessories, 6Whiskey has carved out a loyal following among Aggies, ranchers, and folks who just want to look like they own a few acres. Adding Tecovas to the lineup feels like a natural evolution.
“We’ve always been intentional about the brands we carry,” says Bailey Johnson, owner of 6Whiskey. “Tecovas checks every box for us: quality, authenticity, and a strong sense of who they are.”
That sense of self has carried Tecovas far. Founded in Austin in 2015, the brand revitalized the old-school boot business, pairing traditional craftsmanship with modern e-commerce sensibilities. Their boots, built in León, Mexico, strike a balance between the practical and the aspirational. Think full-grain leather, classic toe shapes, and just enough edge to pique the curiosity of city dwellers.
Tacovas Expands to Bryan, Texas
The brand’s arrival at 6Whiskey marks the first time Bryan locals can try on Tecovas boots in person, without having to drive to Houston or Austin. And that matters. Because boots, like brisket and politics, are better understood face-to-face. Customers will get hands-on help finding their perfect fit, whether they’re buying their first pair or upgrading the ones they wore to their cousin’s wedding in Lubbock.
But this isn’t just about boots. It’s about what happens when two Texas brands, both born from a love of the land, legacy, and leather, decide to team up. Johnson’s shop is already known for championing Western style with a refined edge. Now, with Tecovas in tow, 6Whiskey is doubling down on its mission to outfit the next generation of Texas traditionalists.

Located at Lake Walk, a luxury lifestyle destination in Bryan/College Station, 6Whiskey has become a kind of modern-day mercantile.
