THE SCENE: Fort Worth’s Tannahill’s Tavern in Mule Alley was the recent setting for the second annual event, THE BIG GOOD. Hosted by award-winning musician Leon Bridges and former TCU Football Coach Gary Patterson, the event drew hundreds of the area’s most notable and prominent philanthropists and sociables for an evening of fun that those fortunate enough to be a part of will not soon forget.
THE VIBE: The festivities began with a cocktail hour where guests had the opportunity to mingle while sipping on their favorite spirits. During the cocktail hour, many could be spotted perusing the silent auction display which featured a fun mix of items including handbags and sporting memorabilia. Others could be spotted taking images to commemorate the evening on one of the photo booths strategically placed throughout the space.
The action then headed to the Tannahill’s Music Hall for the main program. The musical evening kicked off with a performance from Bridges and was then followed by a multi-course meal. The crowd was the treated to words from event hosts Bridges and Patterson, the beneficiary organizations, and heartwarming testimonials and tributes on how funds from THE BIG GOOD have positively impacted the North Texas community.
Next came a spirited live auction helmed by Cowboy Auctioneer, which included such luxe items as an all-access arts pass in London, a week stay at an oceanfront villa in St. Martin and a private experience for 40 at the legendary Bosque Ranch donated by Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan and his wife, Nic. The festivities concluded with musical performances including a set by musician Durand Jones & the Indications that capped off the evening.
THE NON PROFIT: The event raised over $1 million, a significant increase from 2022, for three beneficiaries of THE BIG GOOD in North Texas including: T3 Partnership, United Community Centers and Upspire. THE BIG GOOD was founded in 2020 by Leon Bridges and Gary Patterson with the goal of providing funds to non-profit organizations that aim to inspire brighter futures for North Texans. The date for next year’s THE BIG GOOD has already been set for April 4, 2024. For more information, visit [email protected].
